From his Tusculan disputations, it appears Cicero was way ahead of the the creationists. in that work, the teleological arguments are made and dispensed with including the argument from complexity, Behe's favourite.

In this post, I dwell on the response by Cotta, a priest, to the arguments advanced by Vellieus, an Epicurean,

African religion

Posted on March 22, 2018 at 7:31am 2 Comments

Most commentary on religion on the web deals mainly with the Abrahamic faiths. Whenever Buddhism is talked about, mainly it is like now when they are fighting the muslim minority in Burma. African religions hardly ever get a mention or even a footnote. It is this anomaly that I seek to correct by writing a few pieces on African religion to join those others written by people more qualified than I am.…

My thoughts on the education of children

Well we didn't have a white Yuletide. More like an '50's - '60's Aussie winter cool to cold and damp with the occasional misty day.
Over here they tend to celebrate the New Year more than the Xmas. And this year every thing is quiet and low keyed.
How are things in your corner of this beautiful Planet?
