Hi Stephen. I can't speak for all Buddhists, but I can probably express the opinions of many. I don't believe in the traditional idea of a creator God. There are some ideas of God that I marginally accept, like a higher good. But technically nontheism is my way of seeing the god question. I hold to some Buddhist values like compassion for the universal suffering of everyone. Non-theism might differ from atheism in that it can have a sense of sacredness for life. I suppose atheists might too. "Secular" types of Buddhism and atheism might have a lot in common. I just have an affinity for Buddhist concepts and values. I can go into them more if you like.
The club is no longer. At the end of the fourth season, the players asked if they could be the club in their own right. Being I have had rheumatoid arthritis since 1990 and standing pitchside on a cold and wet saturday afternoon was getting a bit much for my condition, I could do with a well earned rest.
Being I never done it before, I didn't do too bad and I managed to run it on a shoe string.
The name of the club was "Real Southwick" being where I am at which is about 5 miles from Brighton.
Thank you, Stephen! I very much appreciate it. I'll pay for the coin/shipping, etc. of course! And send you a nice exchange present from New York as well :-)
you as western citizen must go wildly ( like; write to your elected officials) against the Saudi royal family laws, pushing them to change it and to more Secular society. that what I as saudi atheist need you to do.
I am glad that you are proud that your mob decided to put on its coin a very famous Britain. But I learnt about A.R.Wallace when I was in high school and thought then that he got the wrong end of the stick when it came to recognition in regards to natural selection. From what I can gather that he to was going to publish a theory on natural selection as well but I think he understood that Darwin's theory was better thought out than his and that is why he urged his friend Charles to publish. He did get some recognition in the form of the Wallace line that separates species of the Indonesian Archipelago from the Melanesian species.
its just been announced that Halal food fed to prisoners in the UK has been tainted with pork Ofcourse this is Uneceptical but its been known for sometime now cruely killed Halal meat has found its way into supermarkets[unlabled] Guess which of the two the government has Appologised to.
Ha! You say that but most of my work is contract and takes me down there! Currently out of work, awaiting new contracts - everything is sporadic in my game and have been struggling to find regular solid work for a few years now. I know what you mean with work, always gets in the way of my favourite pass-times too! Hope the illness isn't too debilitating, but at least you have time for the football. Not really a footy fan, motor sport's my thing - kind of fell out with football due to the greed of decidedly average players... I blame Murdoch!
Haha, softie southerners! I can't really talk, I'm originally a Medway man, but ended up here when I was little. Still annoyed with my parents to this day about that - would have had much better opportunities down there. Saying that, I've done a lot of work in London and felt it was a bit of a human petri dish in places, but it's all happening down there, whereas we're still running round with whippets and flat caps!
Politics - such a contentious subject. I see a lot of 'Tories did this, Labour did that', and it's mostly nitpicking for me. I'm well aware of the Thatcher era, and general contempt for her, particularly from elder generations, which sadly is being passed down through generations and in my worthless opinion I feel a lot of it comes down to sexism. Having a woman in charge, particularly in 80's Britain. People blame her for a lot of things, and I've spoke to my dad about it, and because he's almost prehistoric now, he's seen a lot of changes through the years, and one thing he simply points out that Thatcher merely continued industry closures that were started by previous governments. He also points out that pre-Thatcher, during the 70's, power cuts were almost daily. Litter was piling up in streets simply because everyone were going on strike for almost any reason. I remember when she took milk away from me at school, and to be honest, I didnt really care. A little bit of subsidised milk didn't really affect my life or health. Politics is a force that corrupts no matter who the party. We're seeing it with expenses scandals, backhanders and all this stuff is not new, but I'm a pessimistic optimist (if that makes sense) and do believe things will get better. Many people are just self-centered, but I do feel we're gradually weeding this out, it's just taking a bloody long time.

Hello Stephen.
Thank you for the welcome.
In 2004, I founded my own club and in 2005 I enrolled the club in the Brighton League and managed it for 4 seasons.
Hello Stephen,
