We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

Most commentary on religion on the web deals mainly with the Abrahamic faiths. Whenever Buddhism is talked about, mainly it is like now when they are fighting the muslim minority in Burma. African religions hardly ever get a mention or even a footnote. It is this anomaly that I seek to correct by writing a few pieces on African religion to join those others written by people more qualified than I am.

Hi Onyanyo,

I'm an igronate person. There seems to be major religious forces in the world - be they from the West, or East.

Don't you think that teaching mythology is more improratant than teaching religion?

Myths are simply that. Stories to teach a lesson.

It makes me ill that some teach religion as the ultimate truth.
