Barack Obama

If you've known me, I was never a big fan of Barack Obama from the early days of his battles with Hillary. In fact, I was going to vote for John McCain but I resorted to supporting Obama as McCain went senile and chose Sarah Palin for his V.P. (he should have chosen Lieberman); and I know he let Iranians down in 2009 as he was idealistic and naive in his first year of office; but I feel that he has matured and while having made mistakes, has made some very bold foreign policy decisions. I am…

CONTENTMENT

It has been assumed that, for a man to be content, he must fulfill four criterias: first, being in a fine physical health, second, to love women and then there are the two most important next ones.  For the third one, he must disdain ambition and fourth, he must question everything constantly.

These assumptions come from an Edgar Allan Poe short story, "The domain of Arnheim", that I did my best to present and to give some views of my own considerations…

God moves in mysterious ways

Someone recently sent me his life story to demonstrate my foolishness for being an atheist. I think I may have spotted a flaw in his argument, but maybe I'm wrong...

I was born on Aug 7, 1944 in Hattiesburg, Ms. I was born 7 years after my mother and father were married and my brother was born 7 years later on dec 14th. My wife was born on apr 7, 1946 and my son…

SLOW DEGREE MURDER

The Stockholm syndrome has always existed but got his name after an incident in Stockholm involving a hostage situation that lasted long enough for the hostages to develop a link with the abductors.  Obviously, the police have known about this kind of situation for a long time now.

The term Stockholm syndrome was named after a 1973 hostage incident in Stockholm by Nils Bejerot, a psychiatrist. It was related to the fact that the hostages eventually developed an empathy, a…

2nd class citizen ?

Being an atheist which is a far cry from the norm already seems to put us apart.

Being an atheist can be a part of many thing s that can set us apart from mainstream society since we view the world in a different way and individually, have our own set of characteristics...

What if we suffer from dislexia, have gaps of knowledge in, for example, religious matters, have a different sexual orientation, have a very poor income level ?

What if we have been…

Christian Terrorism, Watch Your Back.

Though Islam seems to be getting massive coverage from the conservative media, anyone who pays attention to what is happening in the U.S. knows the truth.

Yet, even if taken at face value, (which is the only way credence could be given to the thought, since all the statistics say it will not happen), that muslims take over the country; what group…

Air Quebec

A bird's-eye view of my birthplace, Québec (the city, not the province.) We flew last Saturday for about an hour in the early morning. There was a bit of a haze at first but the weather was absolutely gorgeous. We might have caught the most colorful time of the season, it was incredibly beautiful.

The flamboyant death of nature.

I took a few pictures.

The Fall

Nothing like living in a cloud

of your own making,

of your own choosing,

whatever colour you want it

like wearing coloured glasses.

And you just float around

and nothing touches you

down there or around there

time doesn't even exist

You're not even aware of it

You just float around

isolated from all

And then lightning strikes

you find yourself shattered

Life as you knew it is now…

Iran Calls Wall Street Protests 'American Spring'

Do you see? This is why I refer to the protesters as a bunch of anarchist/pseudo-socialist/extreme leftists mixed with right-wing isolationist naive individuals which have now been taken over by labor unions and other anti-American left-leaning groups such as MoveOn.org. They are allowing such illegitimate regimes such as the Islamic Republic to mock our nation in addition to compare their "grievances" to the Arab Spring in…

This novel is (sorry) mostly in Flemish language as it is written in poetry and difficult to translate.Small part in English , like the song Never trust an…

Pages of furiously written scripture

Scripture can actually be enlightening when looked at in a historical context, with astrotheology, shamanism, paganism, mysticism, philosophy, art & entertainment, mythology, politics, conspiracy theory, innebriology, and  extra-terrestrial life in mind.  Shame the ignorant dont get it.
