Thanksgiving Musings

I sometimes question my sanity. In this case, was I crazy to go to a Thanksgiving gathering where there were 18 adults and 8 children in attendance? I was the only one to wear a mask--no guarantee to avoid Covid 19. I ate with the mask off of course. The host (my son-in-law's father) is a preacher, so, of course, he had to give a prayer (blessing) with everybody holding hands. I quietly escaped the room feigning a bathroom "emergency". I have no idea what was in the prayer. Now for that, I'm…See More

Since my Road Scholar trip to England was cancelled, Plan B called for a "vacation" to visit my sister in Edinburg, Virginia. I just returned.

From Indiana, I drove south of Cincinnati to Big Bone Lick State Park to see where pre-historic mammal fossils have been found. They got trapped in the salt lick mud. There wasn't much to see, but it was interesting.

I drove east to Red River Gorge area in Kentucky and hiked up to to see a natural bridge. Pretty neat. The next day, I…

Hi; looks like this site is unlike A/N in that you don't have to be "Friends" with someone to send them a private message. Anyway, I'm glad a few of us have made it here, and I look forward to exchanges with the regulars.
