I am very much an audiophile, and while it may not reproduce a live event with 100% accuracy, my system pictured here can sometime come damned close!

Wow a 60-inch plasma TV id love to watch the movies on that set, I bet the sight and sound on that is just great. Envy is not the word.

Actually, Stephen, I also have a home theater system (which I should take a pic of, I suppose!).  Panasonic Blu-Ray player, Yamaha receiver, 60-inch LG plasma panel and Definitive Technology Mythos Gem 5.1 speaker setup.  It doesn't detail anywhere near as well as this does, but then, it wasn't designed to, either!

I bet your system sounds wonderful. I don't see a TV is that on purpose.

Hey, Neal.

I've been eyebrows-deep in high-end stereo since the mid-70s.  In case you're curious, the towers are Martin-Logan reQuest hybrid electrostatics, the monoblocks are Mark Levinson ML-2s and the center commode is a Vandersteen 2W subwoofer, though I'm not currently using it.  The front end is all Levinson: No. 39 CD player and No. 380 preamp.  The turntable is a Luxman, the PD-444, with a Fidelity Research FR-66ss arm and Ortofon MC-20 Super in the headshell.

Overall, I think it does a pretty darn good job.

Nice. In my 20s, I worked at Pacific Stereo when it was still a high-end audio store. Been a long time, cannot tell what equipment you have there. The turntable reminds me of what Phillips used to put out. Belt drive, adjustable speed, the arm connected to the same suspension as the table.

That's a good passion you have. =)

I always enjoyed Infinity speakers and still have a set of them. Power sources became incredibly poor after home theater came into play, finding one with decent specs became a chore.
