We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

Say no to the Judeo christain work ethic that makes us work like robots and we must unlearn this in order to be what the Elohim intended for us to be beings of pleasure!

The so called money you use is a delusion for the Economists from Adam Smiths time forgot the trading system they were using.
There are from my observations there are but two trading systems.
Direct barter where objects were traded for another object with a perceived equivalent value or objects that had a perceived  equivalent value. This system was value for value trading.  There were civilisations that used that and nothing else.

The second system is Indirect barter in which objects of value were used in place of the object used in direct barter. These set of objects were perceived to have set values which were then use to represent the abstract notion we call value.  These are used as Exchange Value Objects ( EVO )  and their primary role in the Society was to enable the exchanging of objects by being the carry of one object to the other object being exchanged without the necessity of having the object which you wish to exchange. This enabled barter exchanges to freed from having to be done at a specific time and place as the   EVO carried the value of the object they were exchanged for and thus the value of the object could be held to they were required to be exchange for another or multiple objects depending on their values.
These EVO's themselves have value that arises from the material they are made from, due to the fact they are created objects and not just lumps of the material they deemed to have value and a ghost value from the object they were exchanged for.

That is oddly how your so called money was brought into being in the first place as an Exchange Value Object but due to your Societal structure being vertical it allowed the greed of the  upper echelons with their enablers to to twist and pervert what the EVO actually was so to-day it is either valueless pieces of paper or plastic and ones and zeros in an electronic device.

Richard I accepted your Raelian ideas as long you weren't preachy but those two pictures are as preachy as they come

Whatever economic model you choose they all need money and incentives

Yes we can, and should, continue to think and dream and plan and work towards a better world. Just because jobs and money are part of "how things are and how they've always been" (and we do need some way to avoid the tragedy of the commons, and to ensure that food gets grown, sewage gets treated, etc.) doesn't mean they have to stay that way.

Many thinkers, including SF authors, have been suggesting alternatives. We can improve things on our own -- no supernatural beings needed!

Marshall Brain, for one, addressed this in "The Future of the Human Race" in Why Won't God Heal Amputees? (website), where he calls for us to create a "Heaven on Earth".
