 Loren one thing I've noticed of the religious is the more pious they are the more that piety must be shown to everyone. When I was a kid and was being taught my catechism, praying was done silently but now, not only must they pray but that prayer must be overtly seen. It's almost like being religious is not enough being seen to be religious is all-important.

Worship and prayer both qualify here, especially prayer. On one's knees, hands folded together? THAT is the position of a SLAVE, whether believers want to admit it or not ... and it's no place you will find me, ever again.

Ike's image has become more than a little tarnished in the interval from when I first encountered my dad's "I LIKE IKE" campaign button as a kid to having read Kevin M. Kruse's One Nation Under God: How Corporate America Invented Christian America. That doesn't change the fact that his statement here is on the nose ... and doubtless, nothing that Vladimir Putin even remotely considered when he decided to invade Ukraine.

That knowledge is all there to see not only in some of the so called religions that are based more on philosophy than religion, but also the various philosophers and wise people down through Human history have gave us that knowledge. 

Had your social structure change with your knowledge then we would be living in a world where everyone treats everyone else as their equal their structure would be horizontal not vertical as there are no privileges or entitlements to destroy the Equality of all.

You may be wondering where this equality arose from

It arises because of evolution itself in that no individual of any species has exactly the same identical DNA structure of another of the same species.

This means that though the DNA may appear identical to another individual DNA  the expression of those DNA will be slightly different even when they are twins or triplets in expressing that DNA gives rises in differences in the brain structure that give rise to their differing talents and abilities. It is also the receive of the impressions of the world around them and thus defining how they personally experience the world.
There for every individual of a species is a Unique individual of that species this also includes the species that goes by the inapt name of Homo sapiens.

So our Equality lies in the quality of our individual Uniqueness.
So far no-one has that I know of clued into that fact since Equality just means a quality that is the same. Uniqueness is a quality.

I looked for a "war" quote this morning because of what has happened in Ukraine ... and because Putin has his own religion, much like Trump did: He worships HIMSELF and his desires. The sad reality is that, unlike Yahweh, Putin isn't imaginary.
