I've always wondered why Heavy Metal is far more popular in the states then it is in the UK. R&B and Soul music is far more popular in Britain. Could it be that Heavy Metal is predominantly White whereas R&B and Soul are Black?

I've been a fan of Rickie Lee Jones practically since "Chuck E.'s In Love" came out.  Fact is, though, the moods she is capable of expressing go way beyond the kind of fun, commercial fare CEIL represents.
