Happy belated birthday, Spud! I have a couple more years to reach your age--hopefully!

Enjoyed your comments, Joan. (I, too, am having trouble getting on to this site. I keep receiving "Not secure" statements.

Congrats, Spud, I hope there're good times for you in this year!

So perhaps I'm one of the young ones here - 66 and received my first old age pension last month. Not doing anything special, apart from transitioning with Luca.

You feel only 30 years have passed...  perhaps we all feel younger than the calender says, I feel not older than 40ish.

I am 84-years young and making "good trouble."  No more of these nonsense thoughts and acts of racism, sexism, and religionism.

I have no interest in persuading others to think and act as I do; I do have an interest in being able to think and act in my self-interest in nonviolent ways and harm no one and walk gently on the Earth.

“We must continue to teach the way of peace, the way of love, the philosophy and the discipline of non-violence. And never, ever give up on any of our brothers and sisters. We’re one people; we’re one family.”

— In an interview with MSNBC in late May 2020 about protests that were sweeping the nation.

I'm a progressive, atheist, radical, trouble maker living in a conservative, agnostic, fundamentalist

community and I am thriving. Being a survivor of the 1968 civil rights movement and part of the group of blacks and whites who marched, picketed, sat-in, "trouble makers" and also a part of the John Lewis group of non-violent civil rights movement, I know how to stand up, speak out, and "get in good trouble."

"King 'inspired me to stand up, to speak up, and speak out. And I got in the way, I got in trouble — good trouble, necessary trouble. ...You must find a way to get in the way and get in good trouble, necessary trouble. … You have a moral obligation, a mission and a mandate, when you leave here, to go out and seek justice for all. You can do it. You must do it.'”

I'm 73 Spud, so most of us are in the same range. I think there's is 11 years between Joan & me, as we're both January babies.

Joan & Mrs.B, thanks for the happy birthday greetings.  I'm amazed at how old I am.  It seems like only 30 years have passed, but I've been on planet earth for 79 years now.

Joan, you're approaching 90, aren't you?

Mrs.B, you're not a spring chicken either, are you?

Thanks for letting us know, Doone.

Happy birthday, Spud.

It's worse than ever Doone.

@Idaho Spud, I have been trying all day to log into Atheist Universe, unsuccessfully, in order to wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Here it is, 11:28 my time, and Laura helped me solve the problem.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Joan
