Barry Schwartz: The paradox of choice

I hate wading through 30 different scents of bleach in attempt to find "unscented bleach" which is always out of stock. I can't even think of a curse word to express how much that angers me.

Algorithms: Metaphor With Teeth

Kevin Slavin illuminates how algorithms dictate much of our lives - from the stock market to Netflix recommendations to the Roomba that cleans our homes. But now we're writing things into the code we can no longer read or control. Great idea!
