What do you suppose it will take to end the use of the "N-word," "Y-word," and "P-word?"

Are Homo sapiens capable of rejoicing in diversity?

What if we had teams of problem solvers made of equal numbers of N-people, Y-people, P-people, and Non-N/Non-Y/Non-P people assigned to solving the problem of homeless people?

Do you think such a team could work together and find solutions?

What other strategy could we try?

Onyango I don't know what sort of welfare payments people get in Kenya but I bet it's not the same as people get here in the UK. Please don't get me wrong I still don't think it's nearly enough for people to live a decent life, but nobody needs to be homeless. As for begging, it's hard to sort out the real from the phoney.

Comment by Onyango Makagutu on May 5, 2021 at 8:55

Stephen, those beggars on London streets should come and do benchmarking here in Nairobi.

Comment by Mrs.B on May 4, 2021 at 18:06

I'll never figure that one out.

Exactly

So why aren't the wonderful powerfully rich religions taking care of their own?

Comment by Stephen Brodie on May 4, 2021 at 17:08

I'm afraid that London is being overrun by mainly fake beggars from Eastern Europe but now we seem to be getting poor Muslim and sometimes Christian beggers and when you see the photo you'll understand the mixed emotions they raise in you.

I am with Mrs B in not having heard this before.

HMS Victory with a rolling broadside.
I noticed that the broadside began with forw'rd cannons and rolled back to the stern as they would have done in Nelson's day as in that way ensuring that the ship they were giving a broadside to was raked well with shot and very few being misses, more so when they were sailing a course that reduced the  silhouette of the offending ship.

BTW Victory was also the name of my house in high school. (Toronto.)

Not heard this one before, but it all needs to stop.

Racism is racism no matter who the target is.
