I just have to comment about my alma mater's effort in a losing football  battle with Ohio State yesterday. Indiana U. lost a heartbreaker, 42-35. It's been 26 losses in a row to OSU, ranked #3 nationally. One good break and we could have won. Oh well, "wait'll next year".

Despite the rising numbers of Covid 19 cases, sport activities continue. Here in my town, the high school has closed its doors, but the football game will still be played tonight. Crazy. Many college and professional football games have been cancelled for the upcoming weekend due to players and/or staff being tested positive. Colleges allow limited fans, pros prohibit all. It's difficult to make sense out of this mess.

My computer has been "in the shop" for several days, so I couldn't be the referee in the "good looks" debate. I'll call it a draw.

I was happy to have diversionary football game on TV last night to avoid (thankfully) watching the Trump/Biden debate. Sports will dominate my weekend viewing it appears.

And welcome, Joan! Knowing you, you'll have something to contribute on occasion.

Hahaha Stephen. Beauty, as we say is in the eye of the beer-holder. But yes, youth tend to have an upper hand and it is in youth where beauty is important for the species anyway

Joan, what did we do before the computer and the internet? When I think about it we did OK. We just got on with living our lives. We LOVE you being here more.

Ok Onyango. Loose limbed youth wins every time, a person might be butt ugly but being Young wins outright hahaha

Randall you are right. I know people younger than me who are not active. This week I have managed almost 500km of cycling and 30km of runs. Next week I will go easy on myself for recovery.

As to being handsome, Steve, I am the trophy holder and this is not a debate :)

Sure! I'll join, even as I am the most sedentary person in the group. I enjoy reading comments from each of you, even if it does keep me at my computer all day. I LOVE being here.

I have one of those gadgets; I will look for it and see what it tells me.

Onyango I hate you for being younger than myself and  Randall I hate you for being much more active than I. But at least I'm more handsome than both of you hahaha ha

Onyango, being young has little to do with being active (although most people become less active with age). I, for one, walk, hike, jog, box, work, etc. every day. For my age (77), I think I'm in excellent shape. Yes, you should learn to swim. And a triathlon would be a great goal!
