Stephen, I see that Chelsea lost recently. I suppose you're depressed. Sorry.

Yes, Stephen, I know all too well the feeling (of winning or losing). I try so hard to rationalize a loss--to "shake it off", but deep inside, for some strange reason, it hurts. I suppose a psychologist could explain what's behind such feelings. And I'm just a casual fan, as opposed to those rabid fans that actually attend games, perhaps bet on them, etc. I imagine they really take losing hard. After all, it's "just a game"!

Randall as for your team winning or losing I'm always surprised how it affects my spirits when Chelsea win or lose, I've been known to become quite depressed when we lose, I never understand why, after all, it isn't going to affect me in any tangible way. Weird.

I liked it, too, Randall.  Bama has been sitting on top for way too long, though I know that the Buckeyes set 'em back at least once.  Watching the Bulldogs go at it in the fourth quarter was satisfying as hell!

Great game with Georgia beating Alabama. Liked the outcome.

play-calling what's that about

Comment was by Stephen Brodie on January 10, 2022 at 10:28am

Randall it wasn't always thus. We've had some stinking seasons, but the club has got better and better since the 90s before then I would go to games with only a slight chance of winning anything.

Well, the Browns went 8 – 9 on the year, which, all things considered, ain't too bad.  I just hope all the crap about play-calling and all of that can be sorted.

So I noticed, Stephen. It's nice to root for a team that actually wins. I'm always on the side of losers. To wit (football Americana): My high school team won only one game, college (Indiana) won only 2, pro (Indy Colts) lost the last 2 games blowing playoff hopes, plus the Chicago Bears won 4, losing 13. Pretty sad and depressing for a fan.
