My favourite animations are the Futurama movies, the first Ice Age movie, Monsters, Inc., Ratatouille, the first Shrek movie, The Lion King, The Simpsons Movie, all three Toy Story movies, Up, WALL·E. I have not included animes in this reply. You can find my favourite ones here.

I would like to mention Sylvain Chomet's Les triplettes de Belleville and L'illusionniste. These are not among my favourites (yet) but I was pleasantly surprised and I haven't seen anything like them before.

Short films rather than feature-length ones. I find them often more exciting, daring, imaginative, groundbreaking, 'artistic', ... than the big productions.

Adam Elliot does a great job in Mary and Max with topics such as depression and isolation.

I'm gonna add some animated shorts if I can.

 

1953 animated interpretation of "The Tell-Tale Heart," narrated by James Mason. This is why I love the Internet. Always something new to discover.
