We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

The usual nonsense. Luckily one person survives and everyone says god is good. Three die, we ignore.

(CNN) -- The woman who scrambled to safety after a small plane crashed into her Florida home gave thanks to God on Saturday for allowing her to escape without a scratch and for keeping her family safe.

Susan Crockett stood in front of her one-story Palm Coast home, which now has a huge black hole where the four-seater plane went down Friday afternoon, killing all three people aboard.

"God is good. He really is," Crockett told reporters. "I got out without a scratch on me. A little bruise from taking a tumble through the window, but other than that, I'm fine. I'm blessed. Truly, God was with me."

They are arithmetically challenged, that is certified.

Wow, God was really good to those who died.  Only goes to highlight the selfish arrogance of the religious community.  I wonder if those on board the plane were religious, and if their families share her view.

You see, god had no time to save the people on the plane because he was too busy on the internet, at christianmingle.com, trying to find god's match for all those pious lonely hearts out there.

That's funny, someone was telling me about that site the other day!  It's like they see anyone non-Christian as carriers of some sort of contagious disease!  I believe there's also a muslim equivalent too!

To me it only highlights that they prefer to be hidden away from reality!

I made that joke because in their stupid ad on TV, a nice looking, clean-cut young man says that the website is used by god to help these people find the person god intended for them! Hilarious!

I'm wondering if I should change my career and descend into religion in order to exploit and make money from them, just like they are doing to each-other.  How very fitting that God uses atheistic technology in order to make his intentions known.

I actually feel sorry for you guys, with all the Westboro style lunatics and religious conservatives.  Thank God for putting the worlds first atheist 'church' in our country!  I bet that would have been burnt down by extremists if it had been set up in America!

Is this kind of advertising ever seen in America or is it to controversial? --->

There are billboards and bus ads like this one here in the US, too, but they are pretty rare and they always stimulate A LOT of controversy and whining from the Christians. The latest one was set in Times Square, see here.  Here is another example. And another one (the last too are from the American Humanism Association.

That's pleasing, at least there is a fight back from the rationals.  I'm not sure it courts too much controversy over here, apart from older devoutly religious people.  I've seen that bus banner everywhere, bookshops, bus stations, bus stop advertising, so I think slowly and surely the message is getting through.  Most young people I know couldn't give a damn about religion, but I've spoke to a few religious young Americans online who just won't have it any other way, yet they have some curiosities about atheism.  I have to keep explaining that if you're a good person, stopping praying or worshiping doesn't give you sudden urges to rape and murder or eat babies and things.

When I get questions like this, I always feel really weird about the person asking the question. Are they actually admitting to feeling like raping, killing or hurting people, with their only break being religion?

Too funny!
