The Whole Bible for People in a Rush (Betty Bowers)

Started by Loren Miller. Last reply by Mrs.B Aug 4. 9 Replies

Let's face it, wading through the bible is a pain in the patoot.  A page-turner it simply is NOT, between who begat whom, repeated plagues, and Yahweh smiting everything in sight.  Luckily for us,…Continue

Mrs. B those court reports are hilarious. Who asks such questions?

Comment by Chris B on August 15, 2020 at 4:19am

I try to tell myself that's what makes life interesting.

Oh don't you just love it when things have to get complicated? Rick has his hearing aids, but I know very little about them in general.

Comment by Chris B on August 15, 2020 at 4:06am

They are there and very hard to find, often only for a few allergies - and as you know, people start with one allergy and end with twenty, so there's reason to be very careful. I have yet to find something to replace silicone rubber earpieces. Perhaps I can get a bone anchored hearing aid, but the insurance company wants me to find a cheaper solution first....

Comment by Mrs.B on August 15, 2020 at 3:44am

Are there hearing devices for the allergic people? Our redhaired granddaughter is allergic to all things metal, & must wear plastic eye glasses, jewelry, buttons, etc.

Comment by Chris B on August 15, 2020 at 3:35am

Joan, I'm slowly becoming deaf and I have got tinnitus for some 25 years now. What to others is a normal sound level becomes a confusing chaos to me, preventing me from understanding what happens. I have to concentrate hard to follow a conversation. Hearing aids, you'll say. Yes, I got allergic to them... So I'm still trying to find another solution.

Comment by Joan Denoo on August 15, 2020 at 1:53am

Chris B about your hearing, what changes occur? Do you have a way of measuring more or less loss or change? What are your symptoms?

Comment by Mrs.B on August 15, 2020 at 1:14am

Yes, unfortunately that doesn't just go away with a pill of some sort.
