How do you see the gradual easing of the lockdown laws happening in countries other then the US

How is everyone. i hope you're doing ok and keeping well. The UK government has just extended the lockdown for a further three weeks. I unlike some people I understand the reasoning behind this decision, but I have to admit that my government has to begin plans for the gradual relaxing of the lockdown, even with some rules left in place. The Labour Party who is in opposition to the Tories have given the government its support for the all the lockdown laws has begun to demand that the government begin to publish their planes for the easing of the full lockdown rules. For the most part the British people haven't baulked much at the restrictions but surely this can't go on for too long.

The total confusion that is happening in America is very worrying considering how inept the Trump government is looking from across the pond.

("Austria, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Norway, Bulgaria, and Spain have begun easing restrictions slightly, while Germany, Norway, Finland, and Ireland are discussing the idea. Switzerland will maintain controls until at least the end of the month. Hard hit Italy will maintain its lockdowns until early May")

How the lockdown is being lifted (very slowly) across Europe

Ontario & Quebec are hit hard, but here in BC, our news has been fairly good for several days. Hopefully people don't start giving up the rules too soon & send it back to spiking. Care homes have had a bad time.

I think we're still in stay home mode until May, but personally, I'm in stay home mode for the foreseeable future as I've become rather paranoid, even though we have no confirmed cases here in town.

Our border restrictions to/from the US have been extended since they don't have any interest in trying to follow rules or give up their bloody rights for 5 minutes, & we'd prefer not getting it here from there. We have Washington state right below us, & they've  had a big problem.

That's what I mean, any easing of the restrictions would have to be done  in a very gradual way. Even if the lockdown was eased the UK government and the people would have to agree to the social separation rules continuing for quite some time after in fact until a vaccine is created, we won't be going back to so called normal for some time.

What I'm meaning is people are becoming defiant, & that's the worry. The US is stocking up on guns & ammunition for cryssakes!

The ones that are causing a ruckus are mostly Trump supporters and any sane president would ignore such idiots. In Europe and Canada people have mostly accepted the restrictions in order to benefit the vulnerable. These Scump supporters wouldn't recognise an altruistic sentiment even if it turned around and bit them on the arse.

Well, BC seems to be flattening it's curve, & our provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry has a fan club! No, guns, or violence involved.

We do not like our Provincial Premier, but he's doing a very good job with this.

Our politicians, no matter what party, have mostly put aside their differences to fight this as well. How many others can say that?

In NSW they are starting to ease restrictions but I have not seen a cohesive plan to ease the restrictions that they are under.

The Hunter Valley region appears to have things under control and there have been no reports of Covid19 infections. But they are still testing.
