We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

Pretty simple question right? Thinking about death can be scary but we all die at somepoint. So if you had a choice, how would you want to go? Give as many details as possible.

Personally I'd like to be shot to death with a single DSR-50 bullet right to the face. Why? Well not only is it going to be a quick/painless death because the DSR-50 fires .50 BMG rounds *12.7x99mm NATO* but it would more than most likely make my corpse faceless if not completely decapitated. I don't like the way my face looks. Not that I hate myself but jeez am I ugly. I always said I want to be creamated anyways, it's cheaper and that way I can't come back as a Zombie. LOL. If I could choose who would shoot me, I'd want a rookie in the military *American or German Military only* who has never killed an enemy before to do it. In my final moments the least I could do is be of some more use. It sounds harsh but the only way to get a soldier used to actually killing people is to have them kill real, living people. Oh and I'd want to be shot with a DSR-50 because it looks so cool.

Isn't dying in your sleep more painless?
I guess but I want to be concious when I go... weird huh?

I've thought of this a few times. What if I had a debilitating and painful disease. Suffer, or put an end to it.

I'd put an end to it.

How to do it is kind of a fun, if macabre, thought. I think maybe go parachuting at the highest possible altitude I could handle easily, and jump without the chute. I mean if I was already in pain, a flash more isn't that big a deal. Soar through the air, maybe back to the ground and eyes facing the sky so I could take in the little bit of the universe that I could see.

I thought if you were going to shoot yourself in the head you would use a .22 caliber; it'll just bounce around your skull shredding your brain until you're gone, right?

Okay, no more of this for me. =)

While having sex with a dozen really hot men!

Ha ha... I thought about the same thing. Death by snu-snu is the way to go, but I prefer women.

By suffocation in a sauna?

You all have thought about how that would effect the other party/parties involved right? Think about it: someone DIES while you are doing it with them. Gross huh? I'd bet that would make your partner/partners feel pretty rotten, not to meantion maybe scare them into impetentcy.

At least tell them you might keel-over in the act, okay? ;)

Meh, I'd be dead, so why would I care? Tee hee, that's their problem. : )

That is exactly happened to my second ex-wife's mother! Her partner had a heart attack!

DAVY! is that you!?  i was so bummed when you divorced my daughter...sigh.

JUST KIDDING..

i have same vote as Dallas there.

good pick, DG!

I like surprises, so I'd rather die in an unsuspected way, and I avoid thinking about it just to increase the odds for a 'surprise death'. I want my last words to be "Haha - I hadn't thought about THAaaargh..."
