In our home we tend to get the children to help out. One day our youngest son came in to the living room and asked, "Does anyone want a cup of coffee?"

"Yes, please!" we said.

He replied, "What kind of coffee do you want? Capitated or decapitated?"

Do they not have piped in cheering?

Comment by Stephen on July 19, 2020 at 8:14pm

Wembley stadium tonight was totally empty because of COVID 19 in the second game of the FA Cup semi-final. Yesterday Arsenal beat Manchester City 2-0

Today's game Sunday My team Chelsea beat Manchester United 3-1 it was a very eerie atmosphere with the empty stands but people are just glad that Football is playing again. And when I mention football I don't mean that insipid game you Americans call football. Lol

Comment by Davy on July 8, 2020 at 12:05pm

Yes! He did have a good bass voice Mrs. B
I remember him coming to the Auss when the Sydney Opera House was being built and sung at the construction site for the workers which included his song "Old Man River".
I dinna remember the year it was so long ago now,.

Comment by Mrs.B on July 7, 2020 at 6:51pm

Paul Robeson sings to Scottish miners (1949)

Paul Robeson, maligned in America and revered in the UK and Europe.
He was a great socialist who supported the working people of the world.
