Brian Keith Dalton, a.k.a. "Mr. Deity," has been taking William Lane Craig to task lately for his lazy and generally not-horribly-thoughtful take on why belief in Yahweh is so essential to him and how wonderful it must all be to have the supposed…Continue

A teacher gave her kids lifesavers. The children began to identify the flavors by the colors - red/cherry, yellow/lemon, green/lime, orange.. Finally the teacher gave them all Honey lifesavers. None of the children could identify the taste. She said, "I will give you all a clue. It's what your mother may sometimes call your father." One little girl looked up in horror, spit her lifesaver out and yelled, "Oh my God, they're assholes!" The teacher had to leave the room.

No Probs Dallas, now that I have had some time to play with it - seems I have solved my issue to - disabling the firefox pre-fetch setting works.  So if you have more problems try removing the prefetch - instructions http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox%20cannot%20load%20websi...

Thanks Walrus. The problem rectified itself. Must have been a Yahoo problem.

Dallas Gaytheist - I can get into my yahoo e-mail - it's my 'my yahoo' page that is screwing me up - have you updated to the new e-mail setup?  My wife had that problem and once she updated could get in again.

I looked around, because trees grow from the tip so the explanation does not ring true. And I found this. It was probably a practical joke, though a very old one, from at least the 50s, it's been around for decades and it is locally famous, around Seattle.

I don't know if this is true or a phony but it is beautiful. I wish I could find the source. The link is here but it doesn't say who posted the pic.

A boy left his bike chained to a tree when he went away to war in 1914. He never returned, leaving the tree no choice but to grow around the bike.
