Damn hypocrites. They do whatever the hell they want & then apologize, expecting that to make it aaaalllllll better.

One more piece of evidence that the Tories don't and never have believed in equality of the classes. Whilst last year during the strictest lockdowns when we were told not to meet people outside our family bubble Bodger was drinking wine with others in the Downing St Gardens.

I myself never thought it wrong to meet up with friends in the park. But the point being is that the government ordered us by the pain of law not to meet up with people and then broke all the rules.

Our news mentioned something about Africa having reached it's peak. Maybe Onyango could update us.

I also read that article Ian  and it seems from data from South Africa and the UK, hospitalizations and deaths are much fewer, and if omicron becomes the main variant, it could be lived with like the Flu virus. Let's hope so

Something I read about the omikron strain: it multiplies more rapidly than earlier types but in the bronchi, not so much further down in the lungs. The shorter distance from mouth to bronchi gives it an advantage in spreading, particularly if it sets off a constant dry, hacking cough. On the plus side, many people will experience less lung damage and perhaps less 'long Covid' after an infection. I can't find the article at the moment but I think it did stress that was a preliminary study but with some confidence in the findings. Possibly an early stage of C19 mutating into something like a more severe version of the common cold. There can, of course come more dangerous strains in the future.
