The topic rarely comes up but there have been some over the years who are/were...some have died. Others, no idea one way or the other.

My daughter & her family are all soaked in religion, where my sons are atheists.

My eldest granddaughter who is married to a pastor, just informed my daughter they want to go back to Egypt next year. Since their first trip, he's now a full pastor, & she's a full registered nurse. They have two little boys now, so why they want to go there is beyond me.

The majority of people I know are rather vague, sort of non-specific 'probably something there, who knows?' Some are atheists without carrying a sign, so to speak. A couple of 'spiritualists' of some sort. There's nobody who's pushy.

My best friend is a conditional atheist (He's not as serious about it as I am).  Also, being that I'm a member of the Northern Ohio Freethought Society and The Cleveland Freethinkers, I have a pretty fair number of friends and acquaintances who are definitely atheists.  One of the fun things we do is get together on the last Thursday of the month for a Guys and Gals Gastronomic Gala at a local restaurant, to eat good food and share good company.

A good time, just about guaranteed.

Randall I would say that at least half of my friends and acquaintances are Atheists. I'm a member of the Labour Party where Atheists are the norm. I even have an evangelical as a friend but he's bloody hard work

Out of curiosity, do any of you have atheist friends, other than those on the internet? I, for one, know of nobody in a face to face way that is a non-believer like myself. Sad and somewhat depressing.
