Brian Keith Dalton, a.k.a. "Mr. Deity," has been taking William Lane Craig to task lately for his lazy and generally not-horribly-thoughtful take on why belief in Yahweh is so essential to him and how wonderful it must all be to have the supposed…Continue

Wow, Pat.  I don't want to guess how that hurts.  Condolences on your loss.

A real loss for you, Patricia. After so many years there must be an empty space in your life now and it hurts. No platitudes can fill that or numb the pain. I hope you can find some comfort in family and friends to help you through.

Mrs. B: I'm so sorry, not to mention shocked, to read of the death (not "passing") of Rick. Perhaps I missed something along the way, but this comes as quite a surprise. May peace and comfort be with you.

My kids have been here most of the time, so we've been able to go through some of it together. Awful, no matter how we look at it though.

Over 56 years married.

Glad to hear you're still around, Davy. The Russians are failing on the battlefield so now they're targeting civilians. Underhand and vile.

I remember the warning talks (with horrible slides) at school before November the 5th. There were still injuries every year.

That's sad, Patricia. Condolences and kind thoughts to you. How are you and the family feeling?

G'day one and all
How are you all.

Yes! I do read what you lot are saying on here.

Yeah still around even though a Muscovite missile explode about 800 metres as the crow flies from me and yessss I witnessed the missile just prior to it slamming into our Electrical Substation.

Ian that looks to be a very pleasant walk to take. Wondering what sort of teacake you had as it dinna look like the teacakes I am use to making.

Stephen, We use to have a similar tradition of bonfires and fireworks to celebrate originally Queen Vicky's birthday then they changed it and called it Empire day.

Yeah well like I said use to but due to both idiots and the changing attitude of people they first banned the  1d & 2d Bungers and left us with sky rockets, Catherine wheels, and all the other pretty fireworks and sparklers.
Then they banned them completely.
Talking of idiots my mate was holding a tuppenny bunger in his hand behind his back and idiot of one his younger brothers decided it would be cool to light the wick. Me mate ended up with blisters on his hand. Old metal bicycle pumps made excellent cracker guns as the took a penny bunger neatly just had to wrangle the wick through the hole at the end and add a glass marble light the wick, aim and then bang one marble sent hurtling through the air to who knows where. Me and me bro's did that, thank Tian we lived in the bush.

Ian, I enjoy reading about your "walk abouts" (and photos). And, I can hear the pride in your "voice" talking about your family, especially your grandsons. All is well.
