We are due some thunder and lightning with perhaps some heavy showers by Wednesday.

Long may it rain, Chris. We're due to get some in DK about Thursday.

Born-to-money indifference, Stephen. And as long as the stupid proles of the world keep slogging away to fill the banks, why should anything change?

A spokesperson for the BC Wildfire Service says 80 per cent of the 212 new fires sparked across the province since Wednesday were caused by lightning.

Briana Hill says the service was well prepared and 69 per cent of all of those ignited by the strikes are now classified as out, under control or being held.

The service says in a statement that this is not unusual as August is typically an active month for lightning strikes in the province, second only to July. Hill says what is somewhat unusual is four consecutive days with widespread lightning strikes.

Here the accepted refugees are sleeping outside. Why? The government helped last years refugees more or less - they are in temporary shelters... But there's no capacity for more refugees as the government closes everything that has been empty for a week. And we still have a load of Ukrainians and also many Dutch in trouble because of inflation. Food prices risen by 10 percent.

But after five days of heatwave I see lightning on the horizon! Join me in a raindance?

Comment was by Mrs.B on August 14, 2022 at 9:39pm

It should not be happening, that's for sure.

Comment was by Stephen Brodie on August 14, 2022 at 9:38pm

Of course this is true, but it's still upsetting to see whole families dropping through the safety net. I have to ask this Tory government why is it that the majority of British people have paid there taxes and NI payments are still finding that they can't keep up with inflation and cuts in their pensions. This government can't blame anyone else because they've been in power for the last twelve and a half years

Comment was by Mrs.B on August 14, 2022 at 8:53pm

Seems to be a problem everywhere.

Comment was by Stephen Brodie on August 14, 2022 at 8:47pm

Just passed the Marble Arch on my way home and took a nice photo trouble is there are hundreds of illegal refugees sleeping on the grass. The government has to get off its arse and help them.

Thank you. I'll do my best.
