I've not heard that about DK sending asylum seekers to Rwanda Bodger is bound to make the most of that. The document of understanding between the UK and Rwanda mentions that Rwanda will be able to send us some of their citizens, that's something Bodger won't be making the most of.
Boris and Co. are quick enough to do that for banking parasites but not fix the cladding problem that's the result of deregulation. We are, as usual, being pissed on from a great height.
And by the way, The Social Democratic government here in DK is also planning to send asylum seekers to Rwanda. Words fail me.
It figures.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I read in the I newspaper this morning that the government is planning to end the cap on Bankers' pay.
Leaked letter from PM’s chief of staff to Rishi Sunak sets out plan to end ‘burden on business’ of restrictions on directors’ pay
Downing Street has asked ministers to ease restrictions on City bosses’ pay in a bid to show overseas companies the “benefits of Brexit”, i can reveal.
Steve Barclay, the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, wrote to Chancellor Rishi Sunak with a plan for “deregulatory measures to reduce the overall burden on business” and attract more firms to the UK.
One key plank of the plan included “removing restrictions on director (and specifically NED [non-executive director]) remuneration as suggested by the London Stock Exchange Group to improve London’s attractiveness for listings”. No 10 planning to tear up restrictions on City bosses’ pay amid cos...
Governments are great at procrastination, big time.
Ian thankfully not in my area. But when will this awful gov. get off their bloated arses and fix the cladding issue in London's Tower blocks?
That's terrifying!!!!
Not you is it, Stephen? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/jun/21/high-rise-block-on-...
True. The narrator was based on his uncle who was. Defoe also did a lot of research.
As far as I remember it was never Defoe's Journal, he wasn't there at the time because he was born later.
