Who can get through a day of the 2016 presidential campaign and not think of this? Here's part of how my mom did it in the late 1930s and the 1940s. I didn't know what she had in mind when she raised us as if there was no such thing as boys' work or…Continue

Nice Comment
I'll have a look for that, thanks, Stephen.
I've read"The Necessity of Atheism" by Percy Bysshe Shelley, but I was never sure I did his writing justice. Hence, I decided to reread it but this time on Audible with it being narrated by a much better speaker. I'm only into it for ten minutes and already I'm enjoying it immensely.
Ian enjoys your pie n mash, but there are many fewer second-hand bookshops on the Charing X Road now.
Looks like a fun walk.
Thanks, Stephen. I used to know the area a bit but it's changed in the past 40 years.
I'm off to England tomorrow. 3 days in Suffolk with my brother and his family, 2 days in Herts with a friend and 1½ days in London where I want to go wild in the second-hand book shops of the Charing X road and, for the first time in years, have pie, mash and eels.
Ian. Here's the latest Joolz Guide vid where he along an abandoned railway line turned into a park trail.
Sciatica is horrible! I suffered most of it when I lived in a damp apartment on the ground floor. I hope you find a treatment, Ian!
Ian. No Labour Party leader could get a fair hearing from the Daily mail. Sorry to hear about your Sciatica, back pain is just awful
Been there, done that Ian. Mine had to go to lumbar laminectomy to get rid of it. I used to almost live on the floor because it took me three hours to get out of bed & onto my feet. Sitting, walking, laying, all too painful.
My sciatica is being a real pest. I can do almost anything, including lifting weights, running, walking etc. but as soon as I sit still, the pain starts and I have to lie down or stand up. It's a nuisance as I have two family visits planned for May and both involve hours in various forms of transport.
