Ian, that photo of you and Elna is a treasure! You look so vibrant and alive. The connected homes and cobblestone are probably older than my nation. A friend lived in a 400-year-old home when she lived in England! Fine buildings younger than her home often turn to rubble in this nation. Sadly, some of the fine old buildings in Spokane, incorporated in 1881 and built during the rich mining and lumbering days, fell to the wrecking ball to be replaced by monstrous glass and steel.

Been to the picturesque town of Ribe. Climbing up the stairs of the cathedral tower was a good work-out for my heart. I could see from the top that the farmers' show had been flooded.
