Who can get through a day of the 2016 presidential campaign and not think of this? Here's part of how my mom did it in the late 1930s and the 1940s. I didn't know what she had in mind when she raised us as if there was no such thing as boys' work or…Continue

Should have been fired in 2017.
Our local grocery store will fill our shopping list and Larry can pick it up in his vehicle. He doesn't even have to go into the store. Is your store willing to provide this service, Mrs. B?
Thank you Chris B. It has been a lovely day and I look forward to a healthy 85th year. Jeez! where did the years go?
Thank you, Ian & Mrs. B, for your greeting and for the beautiful bouquet of roses, Mrs. B.
Laura asked what I would like for take-out-dinner, Mexican or Asian; I said Pizza with anchovies! It was delicious. And the pizza parlor included a "birthday pie" of pizza dough w/raspberry filling. It was delicious! Laura and Larry even sang "Happy Birthday" for me. This party wasn't like the usual birthday parties with a crowd of granddaughters' families with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and it was sweet!
The pizza place is holding on by serving take-out. We support them in their efforts. and they wear face masks and change sanitary gloves with each order.
Our beloved Mexican restaurant created a drive-thru, as well. They are a Mexican family with mom, pop, and adult children working to keep their business going.
I feel wretched that so many small businesses have gone bankrupt! Damn! that Faux-POTUS-Trump who golfed his way through his last year in office. He should have been convicted the first time he was impeached.
Happy birthday, Joan!
Yes, but as I said, it's just the neighbours.
Of course, big cities have the infrastructure and money to provide help for people who are isolating. But I would have expected smaller towns and villages to be much better at looking after those in need.
Just neighbours, Ian, but I don't like to ask. They are all tied up with their grandkids, etc., or trying to keep their jobs, & keeping their own lives together.
Where I live there's a FB group for volunteers who will shop for those who have to quarantine. There might be something like that in your area, mrs B.
