Who can get through a day of the 2016 presidential campaign and not think of this? Here's part of how my mom did it in the late 1930s and the 1940s. I didn't know what she had in mind when she raised us as if there was no such thing as boys' work or…Continue

A horrid Australian fire - from a news report.

I still think he & scump share dna.

Most politicians are hypocrites but the republicans beat the rest of them hands down. It's the same with our Tories and Boris lying just comes naturally to them. If you Google Boris's lies, you would find out he could lie for England.

You need more like her.

You remember correctly, Stephen, and I cite that business in my remembrance of Justice Ginsburg.  Merrick Garland SHOULD be on the court, were it not for Mitch McConnell and his insistence on the "Biden Rule."  Now that the shoe is on the other foot, he conveniently ignores his own action because POWER.

If I remember correctly the Republicans prevented Obama from appointing a SC judge before the last election, if that's true the Dems should do the same. But sad news about RBG all the same. She had a long and distinguished life.

Comment was by Loren Miller on September 19, 2020 at 8:06am

RBG wasn't just "wonderful," Randall: she was PIVOTAL in helping established some long-unrecognized RIGHTS in this country, particularly for women, but also for the LGBTQ+ community and for any number of oppressed minorities who have struggled particularly in the face of the stupidity of Donald John Trump.  This loss at this time is critical ... and I just gave some expression to it.

Comment was by Randall Smith on September 19, 2020 at 7:55am

The ONLY "news" on the cable "news" shows (CNN, MSNBC, etc) was about the death of Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I got the "She was wonderful" and "Now what's next?" messages in 5 minutes.  That's true, but I didn't spend my evening watching the same thing over and over. So, I watched sports.

Comment was by Mrs.B on September 19, 2020 at 1:28am

I get what Rick chooses. I never willingly go to any news on tv or radio. I may choose to read one thing or something online, but that's it.

Comment was by Stephen on September 19, 2020 at 1:25am

As for the news, I'm very choosy about what I read and watch. I never read the tabloids and Sky News
