What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving this year,
or, as the Native Americans call it, "Immigration Day".

count me in! i can bring my famous turkey cheeseball!
(is sculpted of cream cheese and cheddar cheese, and some spices, no meat in it).
I use multicolored peppers for the 'tail' feathers, each one cut into feather shape,
as well as to outline the wings,
olive for the eyes, and lil sliced almonds for his chest area, chopped nuts everywhere else,
and a pimento for that thing hanging over his beak, which is a carrott.

I'm not a fan of Turkey, too dry for my taste. If I were an American and celebrated Thanksgiving I would much prefer Chicken.

We don't do thanksgiving anymore. One turkey a year at yule time is plenty.....too much work to do it more than that.

Neither; we will not gather this year and will stay in touch with loved ones via the internet. It will be fine! We have a small 10# turkey, and I will make cranberry sauce the way I like it!!! If anyone comes, I will wear a mask. We memorialize"Immigration Day", remembering the cost Native populations made for greed. I recall one year when we had guests and in those days, we said prayers before meals. I gave the prayer, recognizing all those who made our happy day possible, including Native Americans, those who raised the turkey, including the farmers who supplied our food. One of the guests thought it an odd prayer. With three small children at the table, I thought it quite appropriate.

Yes, the internet is great for that. We don't celebrate anything but the solstice with a turkey dinner, but we're by ourselves....we have no need to crowd up as we much prefer our own company anyway. Our youngest son may join us when he is able to, but that's not written in stone either.
