All things #TrumpSewer

I am tired of having to fall into the cesspool of #Trump Sewer to get to the other things that interest me. I need a place where I can make and read comments from others. I want to stay informed and I stay as positive as I can. Tripping over #TrumpSewer holds me in a state of outrage. Especially because of his role in:

* creating $555 billion in new tariffs,

* offsetting the effect of those tariffs with $8.4 billion in new taxpayer-funded assistance to farmers,

* persisting in his presidential desire to withdraw from NATO as he talks of a full withdrawal from Afghanistan

* increasingly warm public praise of Kim Jong-un

* banning Muslims with an Executive Ordered in spite of  1)“terrorist-inspired” attacks come from homegrown violent extremists,

2) screening and vetting procedures used since 9/11 merit suspension of entire categories of travelers,

3) little has changed in violent action because of Trump's rants to blame Muslims for the violent action occurring in our society,

"I served as the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Counter terrorism and Threat Prevention, and my job was to help keep Americans safe from terrorist attacks. My time in office coincided with a dramatic rise in white nationalist violence, but my colleagues and I couldn’t get the president to help address the problem. At the debate, America saw what I saw in the administration: President Trump refuses to distance himself from white nationalists. I realized after watching the White House response to the terrorist attack in El Paso that his rhetoric was a recruitment tool for violent extremist groups. The president bears some responsibility for the deaths of Americans at the hands of these violent extremists."

I have grade 10, & left because I was so exhausted with trying to fit in somewhere & never did. Couldn't handle the discomfort any more. I also felt I wasn't learning much with feeling that way. I love to read, & learn from doing it.....then the internet opened so much more. I don't mix with people well, prefer to keep to myself. My conversational skills are difficult as I just am not a ''people'' person.

I left school when I was 16 but later on my union sent me to, night class

But I never overcame all the bad habits in grammar and punctuation I learned in school. As you've probably noticed my punctuation is atrocious, but hay ho.

Mrs.B

I have had no problems understanding what you write. As for education I had no more formal education than you have. Whilst at school I never received more than 55% for English. Like you I never received neither my School Certificate nor my Higher School Certificate as I left school early in 4th form ( Year ten nowadays) and began an apprenticeship as a Fitter and Machinist ( Mill Wright I believe you Canadians know it as).

My only saving grace is that I love to read and I would read a good number of non-fiction books into mingled with fiction.

Yes It does take time; just like it takes time to fill a pot one drop at a time

Your language is always very clear, Mrs. B!

Thanks, GC. I play word, & quiz games all the time because I enjoy them.

Mrs. B, your language is fine! And we can all keep learning... looking up those sesquipedalian words we don't know, having fun with the occasional quiz on a dictionary site (though like many sites and apps, they're designed to keep you hooked with "just one more" quiz or article or game, etc.), or even prep and practice sites for pre-college exams.

(I don't see much of a difference between hating, loathing, and despising. English is unusual in that, as James Nicoll said, "we don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.")

It does not ''consume'' me, & sure as hell didn't come from envy/jealousy.

Maybe it's the wrong term, but give me a break.....I didn't graduate high school, so my language skills are not up to the higher educated.

The background of Scump Sewer. His new name on Twitter is Low T

There is a nasty rumor out there that person are now calling you Low T. I like presidents that aren’t referred to as Low T. Please cry some more for us Low T, it makes you seem like a macho man.
