Sarah's Legal Challenge to Secure Female Only Rape Crisis Therapy.

This is the point where empathy goes to war with empathy. Where compromising to care for one person's mental health causes mental instability in someone else.

It isn't hard for me to imagine what this woman is going through, and I understand completely how my form could be triggering. Hell, it's often triggering for me (for different reasons). I have enough empathy to override my desire to be angry at them for being transphobic towards me, to understand their mind at this moment, give them my care and sincerely hope they find the help they need.

However, at the end of the day, my existence should not be compromised because someone else has a problem with it. It's their issue to have to deal with and seek help for, not mine, I am willing to do a lot of compromises personally in situational areas like this one, but as a whole, I am not willing to put every trans woman through that without a choice.

A lot of trans women have gone through the same "hateful attacks" on their person as Sarah and they too should have the right to Rape Crisis Therapy.
It smells like segregation to me. As callous as it seems on the surface, I am not guilty of the crime that hurt her and I should not be forced to feel ashamed because I have body parts that resemble her attacker.

This poor woman has fixated all of her pain and anger on the wrong people. The conditions of my birth are not my fault and no LAW should make me feel less than what I am to please someone else - even when I sympathize with the reason.

(end statement)

The question I propose here is what if/any opinions do the people here have about this, I want to have a calm decent argument for or against it. I obviously have my bias, I am who I am. But because of who I am, I can't have these conversations with my religious family because they always bring God into the mix. I am honestly curious what the secular world thinks of this.

*Also if the mods think this is off-topic, just let me know and I'll be happy to move it someplace else.

Edit: The link at the top goes directly to her campaign if you wish to hear her side of the argument.
