I think at least 2-3 years have passed since I've stopped watching television on a regular basis. You can find anything online now, and the TV seems pretty useless, unless your TV is bigger than your PC monitor, but you can connect most of them to the PC now, so... no TV.
Me too.
Yes, unfortunately the content of the science and nature channels has been decreasing in quality for a few years now. A lot of Bigfoot, ghosts, or sensationalists shows.

yes, so true, but, if one searches, you can still find neat series, like "Universe", Neil DeGrasse Tyson specials, "Birth of a Star", "Wormholes", many series or specials on evolution, "How the Unvierse Works"

there ARE still some good programs on many channels, you just have to look a lil harder.  Even reruns of Carl Sagan are still always interesting to me.

(and i kinda like "An Idiot Abroad", too, but i've only seen two episodes...)

but, when i see crapola (esp on Discovery, that one reeeeally goes off the rails) like, "the history of Jesus" or "where WAS Jesus born?" i just facepam....

Very seldom. Daily Show, watch House once in a while, and try to grab Tyson on PBS Nova series. Unless someone is advertising Dawkins or another fairly well known atheist, I stay away. Would rather read, can catch up with the news on whatever feeds I have active.

Don't have enough time to include tv.
Last time I watched TV was a year ago...my husband likes football matches..
Kids like cartoons..and I like the internet.
I like watching soccer every once in a while, too, especially important international matches :)
I do.
Professional habit.
Mostly docs, news, Daily Show, Stephen Colbert.
I only watch TV when we're staying in a motel - at home I haven't watched tv in almost 2 years and haven't had cable in over 7 years. When I did watch at home it was pretty limited to what the rabbit ears could pull in - pbs and local programming mostly. Not a big fan of "lowest common denominator" type products and unfortunately, many pbs offerings are dumbed-down for that purpose.

I no longer watch TV.  I shut off my cable last year.  I can get any news I want/need on the internet.  I watch TV shows I am interested in on Netflix or Hulu.

I do not miss it and the Grandkids play outside much more.

It was a financial decision but I cannot see going back.

I plan to ignore all speculation and talking heads for the next election cycle.

I watch TV very rarely. I watch MSNBC (most Rachel Maddow) sometimes during the week, I also watch some nature programs. Mostly I watch movies in BluRay (or DVD) or in live streaming from Netflix (I have a Roku, great little device, Netflix has plenty of "foreign movies" (i.e. not Hollywood movies, or movies in languages other than English) and this is mostly what I watch, mostly on Friday or Saturday nights.
I watch Rachel Maddow on the computer during my lunch hour, thus I stay current on yesterday's news. Is that an oxymoron?
