We have had a crippling drought lasting years, then had plagues of locusts, mice and covid, plus devastating fires in three states and now catastrophic flooding in the eastern section of Australia
The Murray river flood is expected to peak a 94 metres or 308.399 feet.
Official government Bureau of Meteorology and States' emergency services forecasts.
Same situation in many areas. More than our share too.
Given that inland towns are situated along watercourses, on old floodplains and low lying land, a rise of 308 feet on top of the normal river height certainly breaks the drought (in some areas) and puts out any fires.
Residents of some of the affected inland towns will be able enjoy deep sea fishing in the ocean as their houses drift along in the Great Australian Bight and the Atlaniic ocean
