We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

I have a theory, but I want to see what you guys say first.

Indeed.
At that point, there's nothing left to support the existence of a "you."

My body will decompose. My cells will disintegrate into elementary particles and those particles are 'immortal'. The end.

Someday, one I won't know, I will be everything.

Stardust.

But you fail to answer the question.... Your cells don't make up who YOU are.

Who I am is gone with death. Hopefully something benefits, won't be me.

Wow... I'd hate to think that way. And trust me I am 100% Atheist.

Where were you before your parents ever gave you cells?

I did not exist until I cried for the first time and was not aware I existed until I learned to communicate.

Yes my cells make me, and so do the countless bacteria that support me from the inside. I am legion.

We have discussed this a few times in the past but 90 percent of the cells (tiny cells, albeit) living in/on and under us are bacteria.  We are an amazing hodgepodge of symbiotic organs and species.  The fact that we are able to do interesting shit while alive and actually discuss it with our fellow sapiens and future sapiens is the amazing thing about our lives.

Even the mitochondria in our cells are suspected to have evolved from bacteria in symbioses with us.
