Why is that funny. What are you looking for?
You get Rigor mortis and begin to decompose.
it depends if you are incinirated or buried
I wonder how long a buried body in a modern casket with embalming fluid remains preserved. It seems doing that is based on a similar thought process to mummification. Most everyone I've know who've died were cremated with their ashes spread out somewhere.
i think it is many decades. On some forensic shows, they occasionally have to exhume a body, decades and decades later, and most medical examners remark how well preserved the body was decades later.
could be longer...
Sorry Chris, i know you are personally facing the loss of a loved one,
but i also thought your reply was kind of funny, too, is nothing wrong with Erin's thinking it was intended to be witty, i thought same thing as Erin did when i read your reply.
before i remembered you are going through that.
Sorry for the knee jerk reaction on that reply. I'm glad Erin laughed at it.
i think it will be just like before i was born.
re: "but you can't stop energy, where does the energy go?" thing...my energy will converted to heat, and leave my body, dissipating into the air around my skin as my body cools.
my favorite, most poetic version of death is this: We are carbon based life forms. This carbon was brought to earth by a star crashing into our planet.
so we are literally born of stardust.
Now, if we die, and turn to ash or dust,
and the dust could float out into the atmosphere
(now here is where poetic license is req'd = as the dust breaks out of our atmosphere)
and the dust could float on up, and regroup into a new star being born.
the circle is then complete.
we have a group for this, maybe some threads here to explore.
Cool
Ok here is my Theory......
