Researchers have electronically linked the brains of pairs of rats for the first time, enabling them to communicate directly to solve simple behavioral puzzles. A further test of this work ...
I got the email for the University of Nairobi freethinkers group. I have written to them once they respond then I can have quite something to post on my blog about it.
That's a good idea and I was hoping I could get the exec director's contact from the site. I got but the domain ain't recognized, so I hope by writing about it, it may just attract their attention
No I didn't! I wasn't aware there is a humanist group in my former university[the University of Nairobi] or CFI in Kenya for that matter :(. Thanks for this and I'll make inquiries to find out what they do.
Australian who found myself in Brazil about 10 years ago :) Uruguay sounds beautiful... I do have plans to visit. Hey, perhaps you can answer this question: Uruguay was once part of Brazil, right. How did it play out when they went independent and switched to Spanish? Or is it the case most people spoke Spanish so there was no real culture shock?
Thanks, I hope to get my feet wet soon! I am also trying to figure out the logistics for the Women in Secularism conference this spring. I have the same conflict as last year, the half marathon in Marine Corps Fredericksburg
My biggest fear is asking inane questions that are just common knowledge to you! Nobody wants to look like a goon! Particularly evolutionary questions! Like for example, does our immune system evolve? Developing resistance to disease, can that be seen as evolution? Oh so many questions, wish i'd stayed at school :( !
Haha! Thanks Adriana, believe me, it's a fairly accurate representation! I'm guessing you're a scientist of some description? Cool! Love scientists. I was never the academic, so I know little of science.. only mainstream basics, but it still makes a lot more sense than divinity. And you also have a great year, hopefully we'll see an increase in rationality for 2013. Still finding my way around the site, so will get to an introduction soon. Although really, there's nothing that fascinating to reveal!

Hi Adriana. Uruguay was part of Brazil until the early 19th Century. Well, the Brazilian considered it Brazil :)
I love SP state, but hated SP the city. Now in SJ dos Campos between Rio and SP, and love it here. Have you ever been?

My doctor cringed when I ran a marathon, she feels they are too damaging. But she will tolerate my running half marathons
I took up running years ago to help me quit smoking, now I fear if I stop running I will start smoking again!
