Open library is great.

About Us

One web page for every book ever published. It's a lofty but achievable goal.

To build Open Library, we need hundreds of millions of book records, a wiki interface, and lots of people who are willing to contribute their time and effort to building the site.

To date, we have gathered over 20 million records from a variety of large catalogs as well as single contributions, with more on the way.

Open Library is an open project: the software is open, the data are open, the documentation is open, and we welcome your contribution. Whether you fix a typo, add a book, or write a widget--it's all welcome. We have a small team of fantastic programmers who have accomplished a lot, but we can't do it alone!

Open Library is a project of the non-profit Internet Archive, and has been funded in part by a grant from the California State Library and the Kahle/Austin Foundation.

I don't like the constant repeats either....which is why I don't listen to radio stations anymore. Haven't for decades.

I love music, & lots of it so my tastes are very wide. I don't need the same old, same old, narrow programs the dj's can't seem to change.

Incase you didn't get the joke about going to AU and falling off the earth.

I'm sure you got it. some in the northern hemisphere don't.

Lutz,

What you may be "'refferring' to is the image below."

your friends remark about barley soup- very astute-because the Mesopotamians did brew beer from this. thousand of years ago. then this idea ended up in Egypt. Where they had seven different brews. In Mesopotamia it was sucked up through a straw. There is this classic two some- clay figurines I saw this in Der Spiegel where they showed this guy shafting his girlfriend-wife-lover

from the rear as she was bending over and sucking beer with a straw from a bowl. rippa people.

I think that in Egypt with her "bowing.

Don't now much with sansript and how mash was made ino bread, mead, and  legeonds.

I'm going to untail this and say that "Prehistory"

Is more interisting than mytthologigly,.

I don't know much.

Lutz,

What is pre history? Written history?

Sanscript and symbols are pre Egyption.  Unfortunately, European thinking deoesn't look at pre-Abrihamic, or Asian culture.

I understand that Barley soup was accidental from Mesopotamia and previously.

It was pre Egyption as was what may have been called pornography.

India Pale Ail and other laugers were brewed to be kept cold during transportation.

A sout beer has more longevity.  A  a buddy of mine R. Brewington used to say it's barley soup.

Jesus didn't exist. It is a Myth.  The lunar callendarof China is interisting. Happy year of the pig.  I know very little about Chines history.

As I see today some as many other cultures have strange superstitions.  Tiger bone soup, and for example rinorouse horns for verility.

The Gregorian calendar replaced from the Julian Calendar is interesting history.

Thanx for the encouragement. It's amazing when after 20yrs of not finding successful meds and hanging on by a thread and then coming  to the realization that a supernatural being isn't watching, judging and threatening my "salvation" that i am now sooo much calmer and more pleasant to be around. It's awesome to come this far to even join this forum to finally find like-minded atheist friends. I heard so many times that "you are are your own worst enemy". To a point that might be true but in my case the belief in a god was. THANKS again!
