We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

and many others recorded in various holy or not so holy books did not occur.

Could things have so changed in our times that people no longer walk from the dead, and whenever such are reported, they are met with shock and disbelief?

I argue here that no resurrection could have taken place, and that the circumstantial evidence points to a negative verdict on all the resurrections.

I'm glad to see scholars such as, Richard Carrier, Acharya S/D.M Murdoc and others offer evidence for the Jesus myth much of which is based on historians of the past.  http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Jesus_myth_theory

What about all those who have been cremated how does that work out for them Doh.

for someone who has had a bit of scare about my heart recently and been given the all clear today, is the main reason why i hate the Christian Resurrection and eternal life message people would rather prey to god than go to the Doctors. One wonders how many lives have been lost down the ages due to this nonsense.

Stephen what I find even disturbing about these walking zombies, are they still among us, did they die again? What was the point of disturbing them?

Oh James, you raise very interesting question. One must ask what happened to the children Elisha and Elijah are claimed to have brought back to life. Did they die again or they still alive and where? Could they meet with the press for an interview and tell us how things really transpired back then?

Thanks Neal. And yes, all religion is based on ignorance

I agree with you James of course it was a fake, but the real crime is the promise of eternal life it gives to all people who believe in Jesus.

Of all the so called miracles of Jesus this is the most hateful, healing the sick, feeding the poor you can argue that these are Good things if not taken too seriously. But the promise of bringing the faithful back from the dead has always seemed to me to be the worst of all the promises. it doesn't matter how you live your life, good or bad, believe in God and you shall have eternal life. Fucked up or what.
