We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

The black cat has crossed your path,
Beneath a waxing moon,
The shadow in reflective light
A whisper of your doom.

Ominous, the night is young,
And curious thoughts pervade your mind,
Of all that lies before you,
And the cat you left behind.

The black cat has crossed your path,
Dancing to a madman's tune,
A prancing soul, at your feet,
To the deep and dark, attuned.

Did the winds rise before, you ask?
Were the moon rays quite so sharp?
Did the roads grow long, the weather short,
And was there pain in your heart?

The cat has crossed your path,
But a slight slip on the way,
Worry not, for bad luck is but
One brief night, before the day.
