Prophet Abraham had doubts too!!
THAT a** hole had doubts too!!
Muslims keep blaming us for being agnostics or atheists!!
They keep asking us (why you have doubts about God?)
And since they dont believe in the theory of evolution nor the big bang, I am expecting that this verse below is enough to shut their mouths..
And Abraham said: "My Lord, show me how you resurrect the dead." He said, "Do you not already acknowledge?" He said, "I do, but to assure my heart. Said He: "Take, then, four birds and teach them to obey thee; then place them separately on every hill [around thee]; then summon them: they will come flying to thee. And know that God is Almighty, Wise. [2:260]"
Stupid verse for stupid people...
Can you believe this?.. I said that to my husband, he said; dont compare yourself with prophet Abraham!! <-my husband was assuming that Abraham is a holy character! :P
Thank you darling! yeah! I should not compare myself with that a** hole :P

I'm not surprised by that, Hope. Most of the characters in sacred texts are probably composite of various people, patriarchs, matriarchs, tribal leaders, etc. that had an impact in the society and oral traditions spread these kind of stories. One of the most human things is our lust for good stories. I don't think I have ever met a person who didn't like a good story, whether it's true or not.

Well, no sensible man would be prepared to kill his child because of a voice in his head! He probably suffered from schizophrenia (if he existed and is not a fictitious character).
Although let me tell you, if Abraham was capable of training 4 birds and putting them on top of separate hills, and call them and have them come to him, I'd be mighty impressed! I have trouble getting both my dogs to come back to me at once! LOLZ
