Creationism banned at all public schools in the UK

I've only just heard the good news that the UK government have issued a ban on the teaching of creationism in all existing and new Academies and public schools in the UK, this is great news and a victory for the Humanist community. You can look it up online yourself but here is a link to the article i first learnt the news.

I like the way you think  Stephen Brodie. Of course there is the off the scale in craziness which of course, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about.

you are right Chris but don't you find that Christians come in many different degrees of rationality.

With some you can hold a rational conversation, but others are off the scale in craziness

There is no such thing as a rational Christian Bible.

Chris you are right of course but most in the Church of England don't believe in the literal meaning of Adam and Eve and the creation myth, and of those that do have no real influence. But the next move is the campaign for the disestablishment of the C of E until then we cant really call ourselves a secular nation.

That's great, but how does it work within the framework of the"Official" Anglican Church of England?

How strange it is that this great news has not been touted on the BBC and other main news outlets. I cant imagine why, Have you any ideas?

Suzanne it is about time i wonder how long it will take for other countries to do the same, i.e. the US for example. I don't know if this includes Muslim schools or even private ones that's something to keep an eye on, and keep the pressure on.
