Intervention! Scientologist Rehab Centre Shut Down in Trois-Rivières
There's more fantastic non-crazy news here in Quebec when it comes to secularism to brighten your Monday. The head of the regional health agency forced Narconon, a Scientology-run addiction rehab center, in Trois-Rivières to shut down on April 17. This is Canada's main Narconon centre.

From the Montreal Gazette:
"Since 2005, when the centre in Trois Rivières opened, Love calculated it had treated 720 patients and earned more than $16 million, much of which went to church executives in the form of salaries, and donations to the church."

I think they have a "captive" audience of people with minds that are weakened by their addictions. It's sick really. Like when I helped my ex girlfriend at a downtown mission where they forced the homeless to pray before they could get their food. They just wanted to eat.
