Although it may be a little picky, the definition of an atheist isn't disbelief, since that implies that are thoughts are based somewhere in belief. A more accurate definition would be "lack of belief." American Atheists offer this definition which works for me, "Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods, it is a lack of belief in gods." Using "disbelief" implies atheism is a belief system, it is not that or a religion.
