Feedback and Notes

Due to Ning (our Web hosting company) being bought recently from the ashes of Mode Media we often experience 500 connection errors. Our apologies but these errors are out of our control. Hopefully, this will improve as the new company gains experience. Regards, AU

Golden Wattle, Silver FernThis is where the Emus and Kiwis mob together around the Boree Log. Where we spin yarns of the Land Down Under and the Land of The Long White Cloud. Of the legend and spirit of the ANZAC. Of All Blacks and Wallabies. Of Silver Ferns and Diamonds The Aussie XI and the Kiwi XI. And the friendly rivalry between them. To talk about current affairs in Au and NZ.It is also for friends of the Aussies and Kiwis to join in and learn what makes them both tick. Their lands. Their…See More

Political Visions.

Welcome to Political Visions. The aim of this group is to learn about other peoples political visions and discuss those visions. How they envision the structure of the political system to be. The roles of the participants within the system. It could be a broad outline view or just an element or sub element of the political system. It is about political ideas whether they be socialistic, conservative, liberal, big government, little government, the role of the people within the political system,…See More

How to Celebrate Passover, Jewish-Atheist Style

Posted on April 6, 2012 at 7:30pm 1 Comment

Even though I spent more than a few years as a "good Catholic boy", for a time there I was deeply in love with a lovely, long-legged "Jewish Princess", who eventually broke my heart. Sigh...

Although her family was not particularly "observant", during that time, I learned much about the traditional Jewish culture, mostly from her extremely old grandmother,…

Hey Richard, thanks for the comments. I've spent much of my life in the Chicago area, still lots of family in the western and northwestern suburbs. You never know, might have to have a AU meetup somewhere. =)

That is Ok Richard.

I log on daily for an hour or two listen to an Aussie radio station when the missus is not around. and while I am at it I read what people are saying and put in my tuppence's worth as well.

I like the site because we can have a civilised discussion on basically anything and everything. I also learn things that I would otherwise would have overlooked.

I like your bullshit stamp - will borrow.

I also worked for 30 years, it was in the movie and TV production business. Most of the people I've ever met in this industry were either not competent enough or too busy with their own person to undertake a plot of the scale imagined by the conspirationists. Indeed most barely managed their own legit workload, let alone a parallel agenda.

Some people are really creative (feverishly so sometimes) when it comes to filling the gaps in their knowledge.
