A Woman's right to choose

Women's rights arguments in favour of abortion

  1. Woman have a right to decide what to do with their bodies
  2. You can’t have gender equality without the right to have an abortion
  3. Banning abortion puts woman at risk by forcing them to use illegal abortionists
  4. The right to an abortion should be part of a group of pregnancy rights that allows woman to have a free informed choice to end a pregnancy

Yet another piece I wrote a LONG time ago, but considering the current attacks on a woman's right to control her own body, I think the relevance of the following still maintains.  Let me know what…Continue

Do you mean cauterize?

Comment by Chris on August 10, 2015 at 23:19

When I got snipped the GD DR lost one of my vas drfrens. It took him about an hour to dig it out to coteries it (burn, or seal the end)

I think the room was too cool.

He said I may have a high pain tolerance.

When I was snipped, it was in hospital, with full anaesthetic, & recovery.....& not reversible.

Comment by Stephen on August 10, 2015 at 17:20

"Men get snipped, women can do it too."

Chris in a long term relationship its easier for a man to get snipped then it is for a woman, and its possible to reverse the process.

I was lucky i was the youngest of two much older sisters, The younger of the two sisters was no help to me, if anything she made my life hell. But my older sister was fantastic she made sure i learnt everything i needed to avoid all the pitfalls a teen can fall for

My husband is the eldest of 4 boys, so he had to do his girl learnin' from me! He was the virgin of the two of us......hahahaha!

Yes, your own body & what you choose to do with it is your decision.

I always hated the stories of sex attacks, at times with multiple attackers, but it was always the girl's fault for getting pregnant. Then if charged, the wonderful, ''would never do that sort of thing'',  church-going fellows wearing their haloes in court, painted the girl as a cheap slut, & ''who knew whose kid it was''?

When i was in my adolescent years say my early teens i was very lucky to have an older sister who was a great influence on me, she took me aside and explained to me the consequences of my having a child and being responsible for both the Girl and the child. But most of all, how much getting a young girl pregnant would ruin that girls life. I've had some wonderful relationships in my life, one of which lasted for sixteen years, but i realized quite early on that i didn't ever want to have children, and I've kept to that decision ever since, but i always thought that it was my responsibility to have contraception not the girls.

I think every person should be responsible for there own contraception.

I wish every young man could have someone like my older sister to give them advise on this matter.

Well Stephen, my gag reflex is in full barf mode!!!

I was ''snipped'' years ago after my third kid, but ''access'' is much easier for men to have it done.

Sometimes birth control fails for some women, & condoms do break.

If a person doesn't want a baby, there is no way to convince them they do want it, & a woman should not have to go through 9 months of morning sickness, swelling, weight gain, & the other accompanying miseries, then labour, & delivery, (sometimes Caesarean) if she doesn't want to!

Then there is the issue of having an unwanted baby, being forced to provide for it, which means expensive daycare which often times takes most of the pay cheque, & then how does she pay rent, eat, clothes themselves, etc. if she's alone with a kid she didn't want? Adopt it out of course, but none of this would happen if the cells were expelled earlier on.

The religious should start remembering their gawd is the biggest abortionist of all & if its ok there, then.............................!!!!!!!
