Doone,

If I may the lense of  the industrial revolution should also  look at  waterways.  Western Asia, (including Egypt)  and China built waterway systems as you know as did some Eureopean areas including Holland and Austria.

I have a book of tintypes from about the 1840s (as a guess)  They may be relatives  - not sure.

My pea brain about photography is that what may be called fake black and whiite  photograps aka known as  a sepia tone when some of the commercial developing places don't know how to develop black and white film.

Others may now more about this.

Neat map.

Reinder, Elk, Moose, Buffalo, and other wildlife is interesting to look at.

The introduction of Sheep, Pigs, Goats, and Cattle may result in devolution.

I grew up in  town about 130 miles northwest of St Louis, where there is a park based on the mounds built there by those who preceeded us EuroAmericans.  The name of the park is "Indian Mounds" park.  I dont think the site is preserved as a pristine archeological site - it's a park.  However, it shows that the mound building societies were not just in the area of the map.
