I finally returned to a project I left unfinished three years ago. I can't say it's finished finished, but I whipped it into a usable format. Originally I had combined three areas of inquiry, which I've now separated out: (1) critical thinking resources & critical approaches to the critical thinking industry, (2) a critical bibliography of the 'dumbing down' complaint industry, (3) documentation & refutation of George Lakoff's theory & politics of framing. I've made this manageable by concentrating on (1).
I can't cover everything, however, esp. not on the first pass. I have included a link to this group, specifically The CRITICAL THINKING Repository (Atheist Universe), which contains ongoing accretions of valuable material I still haven't had time to assimilate.
My web guide & bibliography includes conventional & unconventional & obscure sources, as well as material I consider related, but just as importantly, my guide is at the same time metacritical, in that I aim at critical thinking about the critical thinking industry itself in both its theories and practices.
I have not endeavored to include a comprehensive guide to philosophical skepticism or to the misnamed skeptical movement, though there are links, mostly indirect, to that subject matter.
It is impossible to achieve completeness in this area, even limiting oneself to the English language. But it is possible to aggregate information some of which might otherwise escape notice and to provide a different slant on the subject matter.
So here is my first public draft:
