Don't most of the '70's bands sound alike.

Manfred Mann, Electric light Orchestra, Toto, Boston all seemed to sound the same.

Teenie bopper music.

The Beetles are teenie bopper music.

Another one that was amusing is the Bay City Rollers.

Terrible production music.

Maybe it's an advancement from other boy bands.

I doubt it though.

The Clash is a great band.

I still couldn't choose.

I chose my five best rock and roll albums, not by how much I liked them but how influential they were and how other artists saw them.

I could never pick only 5.

For fun

Why Coltrane is like Einstein.

I hope the link opens for those who care to watch it.

The book is entitled: The Jazz of Physics.

I haven't read it but found the interview entertaining.

I had a day off and I drove around a costal fishing village in North Carolina. I stopped at a yard sale. A guy stopped by while I was talking to the person having the yard sale who was as 'fisherman.' He spoke some dialect of Gaelic. I had trouble understanding much of his speach inflection so of the others who came by had to interperet much of what he said.

I ended up spending most of the day there before heading back to the hotel. They all probably thought my speach was difficult to understand. I'm glad I got off the beatten trail to meet the people there.

My understanding is that much of the music in some parts of the Southern U.S. is a slight diversity of music from parts of the U.K.
