As a hobbiest with a little telescope I had the oppertunity to watch some solar events with my tiny telescope that had up to 800 times magnification with eyepieces that of course were difficult to look though.

Thanks to forewarning from the TV show Star Gazers on my local PBS station and Starry Night software I was able to see and acknowlege the astroligical events.

To complain about lazy (vs. fake) TV news, when was the last time your local weather broadcaster looked beyond the horizon?

Parker Solar Probe Looks Back at Home

On Sept. 25, 2018, Parker Solar Probe captured a view of Earth as it sped toward the first Venus gravity assist of the mission. Earth is the bright, round object visible in the right side of the image.
